Reqtest is a Swedish SaaS platform for requirements management, test management, and bug reporting. The tool is built to support the full lifecycle of a system implementation – from requirements gathering, through testing, to bug tracking and ongoing maintenance.

The platform includes three core modules: the requirements module, the test module, and the bug reporting module. In addition, there is an agile board, a reporting and dashboard module, and functionality for creating custom forms and fields.

Customers frequently use Reqtest both in implementation projects (ERP, CRM, industry-specific systems) and in the ongoing maintenance phase after go-live.

Reqtest is primarily used by test managers, requirements managers, project managers, maintenance managers, PMOs, and teams working with quality assurance in system implementations or ongoing maintenance. Our customers span both the public sector (municipalities, regional authorities, government agencies) and the private sector (banking and finance, retail, medtech, energy, transport, as well as system vendors and consultancy firms).

Yes. Test cases can be reused within the same test run, across test runs, and across projects. Many customers build a library or template structure so that test cases can be pulled into new projects and adapted as needed. It is common for us to work with customers to create a standard template that is rolled out across multiple projects, avoiding the need to reinvent the wheel each time.

Yes. Full traceability – often referred to as a traceability matrix – is one of the core features. You can link requirements to test cases and bug reports, track test coverage per requirement, and view the status of requirements throughout the testing phase. Many customers highlight this as critical for approving deliverables ahead of billing milestones or go-live.

Reqtest is primarily a tool for manual test management, requirements management, and bug reporting. Results from automated tests can be fed into Reqtest via the API. Several customers run large automation frameworks of their own – for example, thousands of end-to-end tests – and have both automated and manual test results reported into Reqtest, so that the full testing picture is gathered in one place.

Reqtest has an intuitive interface that allows business users without technical expertise to contribute to quality assurance. The time to get up and running is short.

A typical onboarding begins with a brief needs assessment, followed by project setup and configuration in Reqtest, training for the core team (test managers, requirements managers, and key users), and a first pilot in an ongoing project.

Yes. We offer both introductory training for new users and more advanced sessions for administrators and test managers. We also have self-service resources available through our help pages at help.reqtest.com.

The licence includes support through our standard channels. In addition, customers have regular check-ins with a dedicated Customer Advisor. Our help pages at help.reqtest.com also provide how-to articles and instructional videos.

Reqtest does not provide in-house consultants. Yes – this is one of the most common starting points. We help you import requirements and test cases from Excel into Reqtest, typically as part of the onboarding process. Many customers find that Excel becomes unmanageable as the number of requirements and testers grows, and see significant value in moving to a structured tool.

Reqtest is built to be used by the business side of an IT project without any prior technical knowledge. The tool provides a powerful structure for requirements and testing that addresses the need for control, quality, and traceability in larger implementations. Yes. We have a two-way integration between Reqtest and Jira – requirements, test results, and bugs can be synchronised in both directions. This means development teams can continue working in Jira while business users, requirements managers, and test managers work in Reqtest. We have customers who use this combination on a daily basis (Jira Cloud).

Yes. Integration with Azure DevOps is a common scenario. Many customers use Reqtest for requirements and test management on the business side, while keeping development work in Azure DevOps. Requirements can be pushed into ADO for development, and bugs can be reported back to Reqtest or Azure DevOps depending on the workflow.

We have customers who integrate Reqtest with tools such as TOPdesk, often via Jira as an intermediary or through our API. If you need a specific integration, we’re happy to arrange a technical walkthrough – we have experience building integrations that eliminate duplicate work, for example when testers would otherwise need to copy bugs between multiple systems.

Yes, we support SSO. It is common for larger customers to require SSO as part of their security assessment process.

Reqtest is one of the few requirements and test management tools whose data is stored in Sweden. This is a significant advantage for customers subject to GDPR.

Yes. All data processing is aligned with GDPR requirements, and we enter into a Data Processing Agreement (DPA) as standard.

Reqtest is delivered as SaaS – this is our primary delivery model and the one we recommend. For customers with strict on-premise requirements, we are happy to have a conversation about the underlying security and hosting requirements, so we can demonstrate how our SaaS solution addresses them – for example in terms of data storage, encryption, backup, and audit logging.
